    1. McCauley has done it again! With A Conspiracy of Ravens, James Hicks' story is taken to a new level as he battles both a new criminal organization and his own personal demons. Recommended for readers of mysteries and fast-paced thrillers and a must reader for fans of high-tech spy novels.

    2. The University is a top-secret government organization, working in the shadows, that is locked in a fierce battle with another shadow group, the Vanguard. Obviously, they are working at cross-purposes.James Hicks is the Dean of the University, and he is determined to destroy the Vanguard. However, after his well-hidden headquarters in Manhattan is destroyed in a missile strike, Hicks is uncertain whom he can trust. Forging an uneasy alliance with the CIA, which he disparagingly refers to as the [...]

    3. Bone-chilling thriller from suspense master writer, Terrence McCauley. If you've not read #1 & 2, you're cheating yourself. You'll be completely spell-bound by this writer, this series, & this book. 5 stars all the way, baby!

    4. Over the years, a plethora of very fine novelists from Robert Ludlum to jack Higgins to Tom Clancy to Clive Kusler to Eric Van Lustabader to Gayle Lynds etc. etc. have made the spy thriller genre largely a paint-by-numbers playground. For the majority of these thrillers, readers know what to expect and what they expect is mostly action. Lots of action in series with recurring characters. Often these are interchangeable characters fighting terrorists with a variety of motives and modus operendi i [...]

    5. “A Conspiracy of Ravens” by Terrance McCauley is the most recent in the James Hicks series. It follows the set-up of the previous books, but it is not necessary to have read the other books to be totally captured by this one. James Hicks fights terrorism through “The University” a stealthy intelligence organization, but now he faces an even more formidable enemy, “The Vanguard.” The book’s pace is intense and non-stop. The action is compelling, and the people are believable. Everyt [...]

    6. Conspiracy of Ravens – A James Hicks NovelJames Hicks is back for the third installment of this fast-paced espionage series that I have fallen in love with. This is no mean trick. I’m not a devotee of this genre but great writing, plotting and characters keep me turning the pages and feeling sad when it is done. What more can you ask from a novel?Hicks is now the head of the University, a shadow group established by Eisenhower in the 50’s that is so deeply hidden, even the CIA doesn’t kn [...]

    7. Another very satisfying action-packed blast. What makes this series most effective is the balance that Terrence McCauley strikes between the techno aspects of the stories and the human side. Also, these books just move. They don't take long to devour at all.The locations are also well-chosen. It sure looks like the series is going to continue, and the way McCauley has set it up in a remote region of the world is quite intriguing.

    8. More thrills than you usually find in a book. The author takes you on a bone-Chilling ride from New York to Europe with spy James Hicks as he tries to outmaneuver enemy spies. This book is so good, you’ll become a McCauley fan for life. 5 stars!

    9. The University is a little-known U.S. Government Intelligence Agency, led by James Hicks. Its operatives do what other agencies can’t: fight terrorism in unconventional ways. Hicks is continuing his search for the group responsible for the attempted bio-terror attack on NYC. His investigation leads him to The Vanguard, a shadowy criminal organization with members across the globe. Once they know their identity has been revealed, The Vanguard launches an all-out attack on The University’s ass [...]
